Occasionally, circumstances may arise where the local provider needs to cancel an experience booking on Evendo. 

It's crucial to understand how these cancellations work, whether they occur inside or outside the standard cancellation period, and what steps to take if it happens to your booking. 

It's important to note that only the local provider can cancel a booking for such reasons, not the customer.


Understanding Provider-Initiated Cancellations


1. Cancellations Inside the Standard Cancellation Period


  • Reasons for Cancellation: 

Within the standard cancellation period, providers may cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather conditions, venue issues, or other operational challenges.


  • Notification: 

If a cancellation occurs during this period, you will receive a timely notification from Evendo or the provider, usually accompanied by an explanation. 


  • Resolution Options:

Typically, when a booking is cancelled within this period, providers offer alternatives like rescheduling the experience for another date or issuing a full refund.


2. Cancellations Outside the Standard Cancellation Period


  • Reasons for Cancellation: 

Outside the usual cancellation period, cancellations might occur due to emergencies or significant unavoidable issues impacting the provider's ability to host the event.


  • Notification: 

You will still receive a notification with an explanation, emphasizing the exceptional nature of the cancellation.


  • Resolution Options:

Typically, when a booking is cancelled within this period, providers offer alternatives like rescheduling the experience for another date or issuing a full refund.


Once your booking has been cancelled, Evendo will initiate the refund process as long as the local provider has notified us about the cancellation. If the local provider has reached out personally to you please contact our Customer Support Team and let us know so we can process your refund timely.


Refunds are generally issued back to the original payment method and may vary in processing time depending on your financial institution. 


Alongside the refund, you may receive options such as rescheduling the experience. It's advisable to review these options to determine the best fit for your needs.
